New Twist on an Old Fav

Ok, so faux quilting is not really old, but I have done a few of them and love them.  Here is one of the previous one I have done.

I have always made them with the Top Note die and  think it works perfect for it.  Now, however, I wanted to try something a little different.

What do you think?  I really like this.  I used 4 different patterns of designer series paper from the Sweet Pea stack available in the Occasions Mini catalog.  I punched them out with the 1 3/8 square punch and adhered them to a piece of whisper white card stock.  Then, I ran it through the Big Shot with my scallop circle die and cut it in half.  I think that using the polka dot embossing folder and coordinating markers to color the stamp from the Whimsical Words stamp set really adds punch and ties all the elements of the card together.  What I like most is that I can use it like this as a card for a man ion my life, or change the colors and it is perfect for a woman.  I love cards like that!

Thanks for stopping by.
