I hope my MIL doesn't read my blog.

Here's the reason why.  I took part in a masculine card swap and I wanted to make something that was not specifically for Father's day.  So, I used my Bitty Box die and designed this cute little note card box that I will give to my hubby sometime.

Super cute right?  Still safe for my MIL to see.  I also designed some fun little note cards to put inside.

I used some neat techniques to make the front of these cards.  The little square is just some very vanilla cardstock that I punched out using my 1 3/8" punch.  Then I crumbled it into a ball, flattened it and gently rubbed some soft sued ink on it.  The screw punch art was done by adhering some duct tape to some scrap whisper white cardstock I punched out half of a 1" circle and then ran the remainder through my crimper.  I placed the word window punch at an angle (to make the screw thread) and punched out.  Then I just placed that in the tip of the large star punch (feeding in from the top to just get one star point) and punched to point of the screw.  The nuts were a little trickier.  I used the same duct tape and cardstock idea and punched out 3 squares (1 3/8").  I then punched the small circle from the center of each using my 1/2" circle punch.  Next, I laid these in the center of the smallest flower of the Flower Folds die and ran it through my Big Shot.  Voila!  Nuts!

Still safe for my MIL to see.  Now, here comes the "risque" part.  I put a sweet little sentiment on the inside of each one.

HAHAHAHAHA!  All  the ladies had a little laugh about them, and I felt like I was in junior high school again.  I know hubby will like them.  He is easy (to please).

Thanks for stopping by.
