WOW!

Hi there!

I have something that is wonderful to share with you today.  Have you ever had one of those days?  You know, the kind where you feel like Eeyore?  Well, I have been feeling a little like that lately, but no more!

The other day, my dear friend Lisa did something wonderful for me, just out of the blue!  She showed up at my door with the prettiest little box.

And, as if that (and the visit) wasn't enough, look what was inside:

I LOVE THEM!!!!  Their magnets!  Aren't they just sooooo perfect?!  She made all this to match  the color scheme of my crafting space.

SO, I went through my stash of stuff that I keep around "because you never know when you might need it" (don't roll your eyes at me . . .you have one too), and found a piece of aged brown metal and a frame with a plain mat.  So, I got to work with my stamps and ink to make a pretty showcase for my special gift.

I hung it on the wall right beside my computer monitor so I could enjoy it every day.  Looking at it really makes me feel lucky.  I have a wonderful friend who took the time out of her busy day to make something specifically designed just for me!  Isn't that what paper crafting is all about?  Creating special works of art for the ones you love (including yourself!).

Thanks for stopping by.

Crazy for Cupcakes!

Really though, who isn't?

Hi again,

Today I wanted to share with you some of my new favorites!  I love cupcakes.  I love these coconut cupcakes that a local bakery sells . . . they are phenominal!

I also love Stampin' Up's low cal version.  There are some great new cupcake products in the Occasions Mini catalog and I am just gaga for them.

First, there is the Create a Cupcake stamp set:

Adorable, right?  But that's not it!  There is also a coordinating punch!
I love this!  Obviously it is great to not have to hand cut any pieces (I avoid that if I have to), but it is so great to just be able to punch out of any Designer Series Paper I like.

I made a cute, quick birthday card for a birthday party Andrew was going to this past weekend.  Lookie:

I used a couple of the great builder wheels that are in the catalog and did just a bit of coloring with my Pacific Point, Real Red and Daffodil Delight Stampin Write markers to make it all match.  I also popped up some pieces of the cupcake for extra interest and punched the cherry out of glimmer paper scrap (I keep everything).

I have some really cute ideas for this set and punch.  Contact me or click here to shop online before April 30 to get yours.

Thanks for stopping by.

Inspire, Create, Share

Hi there.

Inspire.  Create.  Share.

That is Stampin' Up!'s motto.  I try to live it in every way I can (its seems like a really good way to live your life, less stressful).  Anyway, I was inspired by something a fellow crafter made.  I to go wood craft classes (thanks to Lisa for turning me on to this) and when I saw one of the Valentine projects that she had made, I was inspired.

Here is the project that I made at class tonight.

Aren't they great?!  When she sent out photos of the projects I saw this and just felt like not only did I want to have my own, but that it could cross crafting genres and be made from paper.

Boy, was I right!  I thought and thought about it for a few days.  I just kept imagining it in my head.  Here is what I came up with.

Not bad right?

These cute little boxes each hold one Double Lolly perfectly.   I made the box using the Petal Card punch (4 times).  A bit of stamping, gluing, punching and sponging later and I had these fantastic little creations.

What do you think?  Are you inspired to create and share your own Valentine project?  I would love to hear from you.

Thaks for stopping by.

Love is in the Air

Hello again!

I wanted to share one of the really cute Valentine Projects that I have made.  I saw one similar to this made by Nancy Riley and got in the mood to make Valentine's projects.

It measures 8x8 and incorporates so many of my favorite Stampin' Up! products.  It has color and texture and ink and shine and ribbon, and it is ALL about the love!  I am not sure what element would be my favorite.  There is something that I love about each and every square, but I think it is how they work as a whole that makes is so special.

Another great thing about this is that any one of these elements can be used on its own as a Valentine's Card.

If you have any questions about what I used to make this, please leave a comment or contact me.

Thanks for stopping by.
